College Avenue Compact

  • CAC 3.0 Scholars Program
    • Direct student support services to students in grades 7-11th that have a 3.0 overall and A-G GPA that are on-track to meeting CAC benchmarks to receive guaranteed admission to SDSU.
  • College and academic advising (one-on-one or group sessions)
    • Monitor student progress with 4-year postsecondary plan
  • College knowledge presentations for grades 6-12 (in conjunction with the counseling staff)
  • Financial aid/resources for AB540 students
  • UC/CSU/Private schools/Community college
    • College Prep Day
  • College student field trips/campus tours
  • SAT/ACT and ELM and EPT test preparation and support 
  • Student advocacy and assistance with college and financial aid applications
  • Campus wide event that provides exposure and practice for the Readistep and PSAT exams.
  • All students grades 9-12th are part of college-going activities.
  • Middle School "On Track" all 6th, 7th, 8th grades

    • Meetings include detailed information on what to expect during the school year and college preparation by grade level

    • CAC Family can assist and set-up teacher/counselor conferences

    • Hoover Showcase highlighting all of the programs and services Hoover has to offer
